I just like the strategy and game play of survivor. I don't normally like these shows but I've watched survivor from season 1.

Yea, I watched it the first few years, and then just moved on. Not sure why. I agree that the real survival was the strategy part, and enjoyed when I watched it.

The game has really evolved, and this season the strategy is next level.

I think it's basically just voting with whomever gets you two more days in the island. Before you had the traditional five or six person alliance that was pretty rigidly structured on who was on top and who was on bottom. This season had been way more about being flexible with who you work with, and making moves to further your game. The social game this season had been pretty superb. It also seems like they have more hidden idols, which adds a lie of intrigue as well. That vote a few weeks ago where the old timer was voted out because of the idol floored me. They messed up though not splitting their votes, but splitting the votes tonight was killer. You never know what's going to happen.

One of the only few shows my wife and I both get into! Our interest waxes and wanes, but we are enjoying this season. DVRed tonight's episode and have not seen it yet, so I am bailing from this thread.

I watched in the early days and fell out of interest until about 3 years ago. This is the best season I've seen in a while. Blind sides almost every tribal!

We watch it every time. When a new one starts we each pick a guy and a girl whom we think will win, go the farthest. And we put 1.00 in each week per person. I am already out I had picked Whoo and Wigglesworth. But the pot ends up like 85-100 bucks at the end.
