Stand Height, shot angle and broadhead cutting diameter

Alright guys, as I type this, I'm currently 35 ft up in a cottonwood tree. I'd prefer 25 but anyway, I know the shot angle is incredibly steep this high up. So much so that I may only get one lung on a broadside shot. I'm shooting slick tricks.

Anyone got any feedback who's shot broadheads of varying cutting diameters from high angles? Should I swap to a larger cut diameter head like a grave digger or grim reaper hybrid?

35 is on up there! I think you are over thinking it. Just aim for the opposite side lung for your exit and you should be ok. I think I can say that more than a few of us on here has killed plenty of deer by only hitting one lung. Just give them time. For what its worth I shoot Montec G5 Carbon Steels and have had fantastic results.

ditto, think about your exit wound, and you should be fine

Well it'll be a low angle exit for sure lol.

I'm shooting 500gr arrows with 125gr slick trick mags right at 280fps outta my setup... I get a lotta past throughs so I was just thinking if I'm leaving energy out there. If it ain't broke I guess...

        Thanks!
