    Kent County - COLOSSAL BUCK

This buck was just harvested in NW Kent County. Its a free range deer on a low fence place that doesn't have a feeding program. That's as all natural and fair chase as it gets. It was just about 3 miles south of the property we hunt. For those familiar with Kent Co...this buck was harvested on the southeast side of the gas plant on 1081/2320 just south of the Salt Fork of the Brazos. It Grossed 187.

All I know is it was close enough to our place to get me excited. We actually had a buck on our place that was also on camera 5 miles away on our neighbors place. Guess you never know what might walk out!

It's our first year hunting out there. A 191 was taken our property back in 98. We see/have seen 8 bucks that will go 145-155 and have taken 3 of them. There are better genetics and potential than I had imagined. I'd never even heard of Kent Co until this year.

Wow! Never Seen a deer like that one before around Kent/Dickens! We hunt the SE part of Dickens County just north of the County line.

It gets me excited as well. I'm in the NE Scurry County/ NW Fisher County area. The north border of our lease is about a mile south of Kent county line.
