Wanting to plan a trip to Vegas for either late March or early April. Where are the best places to book packages (flight and hotel room) and are some of the must sees. Having never been there before, I'm not exactly sure where to start.

We used to go 2x a year, one summer trip and one NFR trip. Now we cut it back to once a year. It all depends on what kind of atmosphere you are looking for. We always stay on the Strip and make at least one day down to Fremont street for some cheap gambling.
be12hunt is right about going to do other things, we have taken the tour of Hoover dam and the helicopter ride. We have been to the celebrity car museum and we plan on going to the Mob museum/Neon museum this trip. We always go to at least one show when we are there. My wife and I love "Love" show, we have been 4 times. If you are a "Foodie", like my wife, you will find some really great restaurants depending on what flavor you are interested in.
We have never done the package deals, we always stay at a Mlife property and book flights on Southwest airlines. We got this coming up trip for $179 RT from San Antonio.Last edited by Stroke; 11-24-2015, 12:07 PM.

If it were me, I would book at one of the older, less fancy casino hotels. You are not going to be in the room much anyway, and my experience most are like a motel 6 anyway. Back in the day, my Mom took my entire family for a week. We stayed at the Imperial Palace, that I think has been torn down. Entire week in the hotel, along with air fare was $250 each. Then when we walked into the casino, my wife ran into one of her friends from high school that happened to work there. He hooked us up with free meals in the hotel restaurant. Cheapest vacation I have ever been on. Hoover Dam was cool.

I took my wife last year for our 10 year anniversary.
If I ever go back I'll stay at the MGM Grand. There's so much to do in that place that you really never have to leave!
We stayed at the Marrage and the smell of all the flowers was overwhelming!
We were there for 3 days and did a lot of sight seeing.
We spent probably close to $3-400 on cabs alone...
Best thing you can do is find the tram and buy a pass for the time you plan on being there. $10-15 per person we didn't find it until day 3, but wish we would've known about it sooner!

FYI, we caught a legit stomach bug while we were there, was down for an entire day looking for a hospital. Had we known you could get IV fluids at the MGM, I would've just gone there. (If the situation comes up for y'all where you need fluids)
Ride the roller coaster around New York. It's rough! But pretty cool.
Mandelay Bay is ok... Not worth the money to me.
We saw cirque du soleil (Circus Ole) Ká and I thought it was pretty awesome! Like watching a 2 hour mortal kombat scene!
If you don't watch that one, you should watch a cirque du soleil act of some sort. I heard none of them disappoint.
Just do a little research on which one you want to watch or you'll end up at a magic mike show of sorts.
Try to catch a Terry Fader show if he's there!
That dude is funny!Last edited by Mac...; 11-24-2015, 07:26 PM.
