    Alligator eats python

Just a simple picture, but an alligator eats a python on a Florida golf course. I wonder if the golf course puts the gator on staff! I have heard the pythons are a serious problem in Florida

Like the recent Bear hunt, if they put an open season on them, and maybe a small bounty, they could rid Florida of a python problem.

They do have a special season and bounty on them and still can't get rid of them. Apparently they prefer to live in areas that are very hard to access and are thriving there.

It would be fun to go hunt some pythons. Lots of wallets, boots and belts in that picture.

The iguanas are bad too. There was actually a hunting show on years ago and they did an episode shooting the iguanas in Florida with air rifles. Looked like a blast!

Seen a pic from Porto Rico ( misspelled ) of a truck load of dead iguanas. They are hunting them with air rifles.

If anything is in season, licensed hunters can take pythons in accordance with the regulations for the season (e.g., can't use a firearm during bow season). Seems dumb to place any restriction on eradicating them.

For a time they were a protected species as hunting access was not permitted. Access is still very restricted in core area.

They already have one on them. However, pythons are prolific and are beginning to adapt to the harsher winter climate. They will never eradicate them.
