Looks like a nut roll. Picking up pecans, acorns and such.
Works great for brass as the photo shows.

I guess I was deprived of a pecan tree in my youth, so this is unfamiliar to me.
I guess this is how my grandma feels when I try and teach how to use technology lol

You pick them out... but I'd rather pick out 1/50 that buries up in that thing than hand pick up 9000000000 pieces of brass

Works real good as long as the brass is on a slick surface. They will pick up everything on the ground.

They will, indeed. Sorting the brass from the gravel in the hopper is just as bad as picking the brass up by hand. Grass or concrete only (or chat).
