Yesterday the deer were on the prowl and I seen several shooters but couldn't get a shot. At 10:00 am a shooter walks directly under my stand and to make a long story short I made a bad shot and hit him in the liver.
3 1/2 hours later after my wife and I literally crawled on hands and knees looking for blood we jumped him up. Made the decision to back out and let him lay.
Last night we had 2 inches of rain so I knew there would be no blood trail, was back on the trail today and after doing a grid search through some pretty thick cover we found him.
Yotes had tore him up pretty bad but at least he wasn't a total loss, he will be honored on my wall as a good looking euro.
