Been thinking about doing something to serve my state and community. I tried to join the Army back in 2002 (After High school) but was disqualified due to two lung surgeries I had in 2001. I'd always wanted to serve but had to come to grips with the fact that I just wasn't going to be medically qualified to serve in the Armed Forces. In the last few years I've been revisiting the idea of doing some sort of civil service and came across the Texas State Guard. Is anyone here a member?
