Hate to hear your. TC got stolen. I've invested in covert and they send a pic directly to my phone. If you staged it where one wouldn't think a camera would be you just might get the pic and all the evidence you need. Good luck

I would hide additional TC's positioned near feeders, gates, and the farm house , perhaps in a tree looking down

the thief(s) will be back b/c they're creatures of habit

Thought about putting one at the gate! We don't have feeders, the cams were just near the road so that's why I figured it was someone who'd been in and out of there enough to notice them. It would be a 3 mile round trip on foot from the nearest point it you didn't come through the gate.

that the whole problem to many chances, just put a lock on the gate and a no trespassing sign, no one on the property except your family, kindness is often taken for weakness, break the cycle, prosecute anyone trespassing

I'm not going to cut everyone off from their enjoyment of the place because of one bad apple. I talked to the neighbors (very gently) and they said he'd be moving back where he came from soon, so hopefully problem solved.

Call the neighbor. Don't accuse anyone. Just say:"We've had some stuff stolen over here, had you guys had any trouble?"

I'd also tell them you've got the PO-PO and GW alerted (and do it) and no one is supposed to be on the place without your written permission in their possession--but give them your permission -- by name in writing (not grandson's). Then if he's on your place it's on him.

This^^^^^, and call the sheriff dept. and let them know about the stolen cameras. Put up no trespassing signs and when the covert sends you a pic with a trespasser call the sheriff dept right then and say come and get them they are here right now.

Hate to hear this, but I think if I were your neighbor, I'd want to know to keep a lookout.

We're just about sure it was the person we thought it was. Apparently they're moving back to where they came from after piddling around and wasting his parents money playing cowboy. Don't know what his motive to do that was but I'm glad he won't be around much longer to cause problems.
