    Trying to move to Lockhart

Can't find anything we really like. Next plan is to look at mobile homes and land. Anything to be aware of in mobile homes and getting property in a single loan or is this possible?
We need to be close to Lockhart or a few miles toward Austin. Ten acres and medium to small mobile home type arrangement.
    Cost of septic system?

I could be wrong, but I think you have to own the land and use it as collateral to get a loan for the mobile home.

Hard to find a lender for a mobile home without collateral.

But again, I could be way off on this.

Mac, that is not true... We bought a Clayton home last year, and did not use land for collateral. But we did put a healthy down payment down.

Masonred, go look at Clayton's. We did a lot of research, and found they were the best constructed. We went with 2x6 walls, upgraded the insulation to northern standard, etc. have to ask about the upgrades available to the model you like.

Our biggest Electric bill this year was 111.$,, for aug. Sept. Was 94$.
