You make the Call. Mule Deer

You have you heart dead set on a 200+ Mule Deer. This boy steps out. Big enough for most all of us yes. But you have waited many years, saved preference points etc. And you are in a Unit known for huge Mulies. With that in mind do you shoot? Will he make your 200+ mark?

Im not certain, but I think that guy has killed multiple big mule deer. Seems like I have seen him in TTHA mags before. Not sure that deer is 200" but I would be real proud of him.

That deer isn't far from 200". I'd be tickled to death to kill him on the 1st day of any hunt.

You did say unit known for huge muleys....I just don't feel that's the case from the picture.


Looks like it's right around the 200 mark depending on how big the deer actually is. You watch him for a couple days, bed him, go sift through other deer and kill him at the end of season if you haven't found anything bigger.

First day, top unit, probably not.
That is a great deer though, but that one side looks so much bigger and massive.
I don't think he breaks 200 though.
With Merrit killing this deer, I would be willing to bet he was biggest deer available in that area.
