Palermo's is outstanding, also call Clay Wagner. Texastaxidermyassociatin.org has a list of members with contact info. Don't price shop, go look at the product!

I used fortson's and they had a good turn around and awesome price. This was my first bow buck. It looks great and I got what I paid for. Literally no complaint. I think they are the best quality for a lower price.

I have seen deer taxi'd in Waco that look like the back of their head got hit and the eyes bugged out. Kinda strange and was consistently off.

I have seen Chance Love's work in austin on a buddy's buck and my next mount will go there. It will be more expensive but I have seen the detail and its pretty amazing.

Fortson's meat processing is also top notch. Great sausages.

That's a great looking buck... and mount.

I know exactly what you mean as far as the bugged out eye look, and I don't want to have that to my first taxidermy deer. That's why I'm asking for peoples opinions before I start calling around and visiting places.
