To all those who served.....

Veterans Day. Another day to reflect not only on my military service as a Marine, but those before me who have paved the way. Those who share in the sacrifice for both life and family. Those willing to die in defense of the greatest nation on the planet.

I thank God I am an American. How sweet we have it here. Our women can vote and drive a car. We have the freedoms to chose or not to chose. We are not perfect by any means, but in my worldly travels, I'd take America on her worst day than anywhere else.

So thank a vet today if you see one. We all a story. We all made our sacrifices. All gave some, but some gave all.


Just remember:

"People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf."

My dad was a Vietnam Vet. He passed away three weeks ago today. I am carrying his dog tags with me today. Miss you Dad!

Thank you all vets who have stepped up. I think of my late father who was in the Aluetians Islands and my Mother (94) who was a nurse in N. Africa, Sicily , and Italy. I am not sure I am worthy compared to what the men and women of yesterday and today have and are doing. Thanks again!!
