Okay, so I have gift card money to bass pro shops. What is the best camera that text you pictures that bass pro shop carries. I really wanted the covert camera but it doesn't look like bass pro carries them. Any suggestions?

I bought 2 covert this year and they work great. I have them set up to email pictures when I at home and it works great. Then when I get to the lease I change them to text pictures since I have an ATT go phone.
they are great to use to pattern the activity at your sets before you arrive at the lease so you can focus on hunting when at the lease

I haven't owned one yet but interested to see what everyone with experience says. I'm a sale waiting to happen just trying to decide which one to get.
The thing that sold me was following EastTX's live hunt thread. He was about to walk into his spot before daylight and got a text showing his target buck at his spot already. Made me wonder how many critters I've spooked walking in. I bet that happens more often than we think.

How good are the antennas on these cameras in comparison to the average smart phone? I have an ATT phone plan already, and get very low signal strength on most of my lease, and none in some places. I can usually send and receive texts and get online from most places, especially if elevated, but it's spotty and unpredictable on the ground.

You need a consistent 2 bars plus
If you're in a low-signal area, there is an antenna you can purchase that is about 3 times bigger with a long cord so you can mount it higher in a tree or somewhere higher.
I bought one for an old lease.
The booster antenna gave me 2-3 more bars than the standard antenna.
