Elk Bugle Downloads

I'm heading to Co Thursday for our yearly Elk hunt. It seems the rut is still going on so I'm trying my skills with a bugle. Driving down the road, blowing on a bugle can generate some strange looks, but my time is short and I need the practice. I'm looking for some elk sounds I can download and burn to a CD for the drive up.

Any suggestions?

I tried to google it but could not find any downloadable files. I don't anticipate a hot and heavy rut, but the bulls are still screaming. Atleast, that is what I've been told. They got 6 inches of snow on Monday and the forecast calls for more on Saturday so I'm getting a little rutty myself.

6 inches will help push them down, and more on Saturday and Sunday will be awsome. We're supposed to get some down here in the Springs on Sunday. I'm hoping we do, I'm done with hot weather. Good luck!!

The rut had not started in GMU 54 and 55 when we left on 9/27. The bulls were starting to get vocal at 10-11k feet, but when somebody bugles and 7 bulls respond in a big basin from the same area, you know the boys ain't fighting for the girls, yet.

My limited experience is that some bulls sound like a hunter with a piece of chewing gum in his mouth when he trys to bugle, I was amazed it was really a bull. Not all sound like a RMEF advertisement

Sounding like a smaller bull has the benefit that the big boys will come to kick his butt, and you're waiting.
