On another tread in here I read somebody's post about shot placement and they had a mark or red dot showing where an ideal hit would be (straight up the arm in the gap between the scapula and the arm bone). Well last night I aced a buck with that shot placement and he barely made it 35 yards. Specifics: 28 yard shot with a Bowtech Experience 70lb, Beman ICS hunter 340's and Slick Trick 100 grain 1"&1/8" broadhead.

I used that same shot placement on archery opener and my buck made it about 50yards. Over the last couple of years I kept aiming for the heart and shot under a few times. I'm ok with admitting that I'm not that great of a shot do I used the advise of the shot placement thread with advise from a couple of more experienced hunters and I'm really liking the new shot placement.
Congrats on your deer!

your right....if it aint a heart shot then they will duck it or run for ever
I generally try ti hit them right here and never worry about a blood trail because they are dead with in 50-75 yds
