    Need some new ideas.

I'm going to put this out here and see what come of it. Our family business is a mid size fabrication shop that has relied pretty heavily on oil and gas based customers. I'm looking to branch out with some repetitive type sheet metal fabrication or maintenance work to help pay the bills. Any ideas on direction would be appreciated. If some would rather PM me that's fine. We are in the Houston area.

Maybe a good website with a paid optimization expert listing all the things that you could make. It would pop up for everyone searching for custom made metal products. Ie, firewood racks, wine room doors, fireplace grates, gates, venthoods, etc..

Also, ask your shop guys what they think. They may have some artistic skills and ideas that are good and if they get to build their ideas it always helps with morale.

You bid any state work? I walked into a shop one day where a few guys were making the breakaway bases for road signs. They had an order for several hundred of them if i recall
