I thought the same thing! We could all be in trouble if our kids follow our lead and use the air bow!

Pretty dumb. Seems like the archdioses is going to issue a punishment to the principal. We'll see.

No shortage of stupidity in school administrators. If you spend enough time around them you do not get a great feeling about entrusting our children's education to them.

You would think an end of some sort. If not what will it be like in 20 years? It seems to be a lost cause right now.

I can not get retired and get out on a piece of property away from normal society fast enough.

Well, being that I live in the heart of the Liberal internment camp of Texas (oh wait, my town didn't just vote on unisex restrooms and such) My boy has been fully supported by his teachers when it comes to imagination and expression. He actually did a picture poem the other day in the form of a bow and arrow and even called it a weapon and talked about how it could take life. This is third grade AISD. His teachers loved it.
This kind of behavior from administrators is pervasive even in the small towns of the USA. Even our Daycare that we have used for years had to send out a letter to parents explaining that stick guns were part of play and trying to force a 4 year old boy not to turn everything he picks up into a gun was impossible and they refused to make a policy stating it could no longer happen. The parents who were upset got over it. People are just getting to high strung these days.

When we were kids we actually had BB Gun wars, pre-paintball.

The school is totally off the reservation with this one.
