After reviewing the 1st two photos several times, I am officially recanting my opinion. I believe they ARE the same deer and the difference in eye guards is just the angle of the head.
31 same / 24 different. When the numbers flip I will close thread and tell my dad he was wrong and I have internet support to prove it!
Buddy at work with acreage in Lavaca County ( a rationale simple thinker like my dad's) comment was " I don't even need to study them hard, no way in hell you got two promising 10 points in Lavaca County and really no way in hell two that look so much like each other".
I don't believe him either!!

Listen to your dad. Have you ever proven him wrong? lol
The one with the more crooked appearing brows has a double throat patch... are there any better pics to show off the deer with the straight brows throat?
Satisfied my thinking this past week on whether we are dealing with 1 or 2 bucks...first the story.
Haley finished up classes Monday night at Texas State and wanted to get out of town in the worst way. We didn't want her driving 3 hours in the dark so we convinced her to drive half way to Shiner and spend the night with my folks at the "farm".
Having never shot a buck (two does this far) she and Pops hatched a plan for them to make a hunt before he drove to Houston. We have a number of shooter bucks on camera this year, including 1 (or 2 - bit of a debate of we have 1 or pictures of the same deer at different angles) 10 point. We had in on camera on my lease place before archery season started then he disappeared for a few weeks. A 10 pointer showed up one dads place and was there for about week before again disappearing. They made plans to sit in the oat patch where dad had last seen him a few weeks ago.
Before I could text them this morning to see if they actually went to hunt, we received a text from Haley "just got a buck"! Sure enough she had, putting a really nice shot on "the/a" 10 point!
She said paw paw gave her a big hug after the fell (she said he dropped on the spot), and said paw paw was the best. She was shooting my 270. Dad said the buck wouldn't get positioned for a good shot for an easy 5 minutes. He was constantly chirping in Haley's ear...don't shoot until your ready, make sure he is broad sided, you don't have to shoot if you sense the crosshairs are moving, etc...After, one episode, he turned broadsided. Again he said you don't shoot if you're not ready...are you steady. She said, Paw Paw, I got this and then the rifle went off. He dropped in his tracks as she smoked him with a 110 yard heart shot.
She said she didn't get nervous, until he said......you wait here I need to go back to get the gator and a tape measure, as I am now not sure he is 13 inches! Pops returned back with my mom and the camera. He had a 13 1/4 inch inside spread.

I am doing a euro mount, as well as tanning the hide. Third 10 every killed off the place since my grandfather had it. Blake took his in 2009, Kendra in 2012 and now Haley.
