it works.. I learned about it hunting pike county IL.. You shouldn't just do your clothes tho. Start a fire and stand in it.. Get your whole body.

That said i don't mess with it anymore lol..

My cousin tried this on opening weekend while putting out a fire that escaped on our place before heading to the stand..He was worried he had ruined his clothes for the hunt..I told him that I had heard that it was actually a good technique to use against deer.. That evening a doe and fawn came down wind and he got to take a shot he missed but got a chance the next week to take the mature doe out.. Hes a firm believer and continues to do it..
