    Pear Burner Question

Why does my burner have this flame sometimes and not the turbo flame?

Air? Might try a high flow regulator.

Stuck valve on your propane tank

It was full on turbo earlier, the valve on the handle got opened and drained all the pressure
In the hose and now I've got this chicken **** flame, not the valve in the tank I don't believe. This is the second tank it has done it on.

It probably is the safety valve on the tank.
My grill does that. Let it sit a while and it'll probably work.

Could be a stuck valve on tank or on the pear burner adjustment. Gently tap on both. On the tank turn it upside down and tap on the bottom as well (disconnect hose first)and open the valve real slowly.

Disconnect from tank. Reconnect. Will likely work.

OPD valve on the tank probably, they are designed to cut off incase a line ruptures. If you open the valve too fast with a high pressure burner they will shut the gas way back. Or you may be burning the vapor off of the bottle too fast if it is a small cylinder. And don't turn the tank upside down you will get liquid in the line, and a big flame....

Turn the valve on bottle off. Let the torch bleed out and the close valve. Open bottle valve slowly. You should see the hose pressure up. Slowly open torch valve. Light and burn baby burn!

Yes, excess flow valve. Turn off tank, bleed burner, restart

Turned off and waited a minute or so and turned it back on and full on turbo, must have been slow enough to prevent the safety device from kicking in.
