    Damaged Double Bull??

The day after I put up my darkhorse, the cows had their way with it. I contacted Primos and they agreed to repair it just ship to them and send $30 to cover return shiping. I said it was bad and sent them pictures to make sure. I didn't want to spend $60 and have it returned with an "I'm Sorry" note attached to it so I sent pictures. They responded and said it was not repairable. Other than huge hole in the picture this thing is in great shape. The blind is 3 years old and only left out during deer season.

Anyone have any ideas how I can repair it myself? I hate buying quality stuff and these dang cows tear everything up. This is the 3rd pop up in 8 years they have molested of mine but I think we are about 11 blinds so far in the 8 seasons, not to mention numerous other items they have destroyed.

    Ideas?

Ask them to send you some of the same material so you can patch it up yourself.

Come on put those High School Home-Ec skills to use - Needle and Thread with some type of black cloth backing on the inside. The deer won't know a difference

In the past I have cut patches from the bag that blind comes in and patched holes using silicone epoxy or tape. The bags are typically the same material.

Looks like your cows are packing knives.

This is what we did. I took them to an upholster person and had them sew black material that was water proof to cover the gashes. They worked perfectly, until the storm came and dropped a tree limb on top of the blind crushing it. . .

Gorilla tape, I have a few friends with this problem. They decided to set up in a smaller cluster of trees and run barbed wire around the trees to protect their pop-ups. Roll of wire and some fencing staples, you are in business.

That would be so easy to fix...

Tenacious tape all along the edges, then sew together.

                          Or

Glue an edge to the torn surfaces, then either zip tie or sew together.

Glued on patch big enough to cover the holes, then plus some. Sew to ensure it doesn't pull for the other part.

                          Too easy...

But if you don't want to fix it or waste your time, I will buy it off you

Go to Jo Ann Fabrics, Michaels or even an Walmart and get some metal grommets. They come in two pieces and are easy to install. Put one on the flap and one on the 'non' flap every two inches or so. Then run parachute cord through it like great big seam and snug it tight. Bam, you just knitted up the problem. Then you can seal with tape if you like or as you are snugging it up put some burlap or camo material or camo netting in the seam.

It will most like need to be resnugged every time you put it up, but at least it salvaged the blind

Get on ebay and see if you can find one for sale that the poles are broke on.
