    Tom Light Chevrolet in Bryan

Big thumbs up to these guys. I see a lot of complaints about dealerships so I thought I'd post when I got great service. I still haven't found a dealership in San Antonio that really wants to do business. I really tried this time...All I got from several big local dealers was "come in, find a truck you like, we will go on a test drive, then we will sit down and talk about price"...

    I knew exactly what I wanted...a 2015 2500HD Z71 with the LTZ trim package.

I told them I was buying on price based on the options and balancing that against the convenience factor of having to take delivery of the truck out of town.

Even after I explained that I knew exactly what I wanted and didn't need to "test drive" and just wanted to know what their best price was ( I was giving them a stock number) and what the rebates were this month and what the bottom lie on the truck was they just wouldn't give me a price. They all wanted me to come to the lot and go through the same torturous "sales" process. I finally gave up. I'm not going to drive to a dealership and play "lets make a deal" with some punk salesman who is constantly 'running back to his boss" to see what they "can do for me".

Anyway...these guys at Tom Light got it. We did everything on line and over the phone, they got very right on the price right up front (even throwing in some dealer discretionary option rebates on top of the regular GM rebates).

Once we got the new truck price set we negotiated a trade in on my current Z71 driver that was very fair. The whole process was up front and businesslike...short and sweet.

Two days after I called them they drove the truck down to San Antonio from Bryan, we signed the paperwork, did the walk through on all the new electronic gizmos and he got in my trade in and left. About 30 minutes total.

The whole process couldn't have been easier or more pleasant. Just thought I'd share a good truck buying experience for you guys in the market.

Tom Light is the best. I bought my truck from them a few months ago. This is how car buying should be done!

I had a similar experience with a different dealership a few years ago while trading and buying two vehicles at the same time. The dealership even drove to Midland to get the truck with everything I wanted. It made getting new vehicles all the more enjoyable.

            Congrats on the new ride.

I bought a new 2010 from Tom Light when I lived in SA for the same reasons.
