I was going to either skip this mornings or this evenings hunt so I could get my long run in. Decided to hunt both. Got in the stand at 5:45. Biked 1.5 miles back to truck at 10:00 after seeing 10 deer no shots. Drove home. Ran 21.05 miles in 2h54m showered drove back to hag. Rode bike back in 1.5 miles and now o am settled in for the evening sit. Hopefully there is enough left in my legs to drag a bigun out if one gives me a shot. Lol.

Well after being unable to get a shot off on an H monster at first light I had a pretty good day for seeing no deer Fri n sat..ended up seeing 4 other smaller bucks one of which was being chased by a dog...and a single doe that didn't give me a shot opportunity...just wish I woulda moved locations fri at noon instead of sat...

I had a great hunt even though I didn't connect and that's nobodies fault but mine. Saw deer throughout the day and saw three shooter bucks. One of them was a huge 10 and had him at only 8 steps on the ground while hunting from a ground blind. My partner shot a nice buck. So I am pretty happy with our results. The refuge staff and volunteers put on a great hunt and can't wait to do it again, but for now I will have to just settle hunting them out there with my camera till I am lucky enough to draw again. I also had a great time scouting out there with Rjet. I may not have gotten a deer, but I have many great memories from the hunt. Now good luck to the segment c guys!!!
