So I'm at work this week, cause well, I don't have the time to take off.

Don't you hate it when your friends who took off the whole week or don't work are hunting and send you text messages about how a hog came in and screwed up their deer hunt? Or that young buck scared off the doe they were aiming for? Or how "today" is horrible and they didn't see any deer? Or those dern song dogs keep scaring the deer?

I'd have to say their bad day is way better than what I'm doing so stop complaining!!

I hear ya. Been out on a barge working in the Gulf and haven't had a chance to hunt yet. Be home on the 3rd and will be hunting for 2 weeks straight. My turn to rub it in.......

Dude, I've been working nights these past two weeks. Job interview today and tomorrow and FINALLY some stand time before I go crash the next job site. Back on nights for another week.

I look at it like this.... I have to work to afford to hunt unfortunately.... and hunting ends up costing more money... So I'm making money AND saving money at work...

but it still sucks

Came up lunch time yesterday. Have today,tom sat Sunday. Next week. Fri sat sun mon tues wed. Didn't see anything yesterday evening and so far this morning!!!

I'm in a similar boat. I've been out 4 times so far. Last time out was 9 days ago. I haven't been able to even check trail cameras or re fill corn because of work. I might be able to squeeze in 2 or 3 more sits before rifle season opens up. Work has just absolutely taken over my life right now. I am really hoping to at least take a doe in the next week. That would make my whole season. Fingers crossed.

I feel your pain. I have not been hunting yet. Going down to put finishing touches on my Krivoblind this weekend and will likely hunt one of my tripods for a doe or cull.

One of my best friends have what some people would call a "job", but he just sorta works when he wants to work. Dude is always hunting and fishing. He sends me pictures and texts all the time while I'm at work and it drives me nuts!

Haven't had a day off since August. Might get to hunt this weekend since we are off next week, then playoffs start and the hours increase. Hoping if I get to go this weekend, everything still works and is standing. I also hope I can't hunt again until Christmas!

Poor you....I didn't even draw a tag this year, so I couldn't even hunt if I wanted to.
