I would put stans on the side of the pond for the predominate winds of the area so getting winded is taken care of and corn your spot up

That bottom arrow is not pointing to a pond it's pointing to tree tops from cut timber. And it's only 60 yards from our cabin

Never put a camera there but there are tracks and a couple good trails where deer are crossing the fence down there. There's an old logging road back there I can still drive my truck through. And good trees to hang a stand. I may out out a camera there today. For sure I will.
