We'll, I'm on the board for 2015 with two does last night. Doe #1, came in early, about 4pm and I made a solid double shot from a pop-up. She went 21 yards and pilled up. I figured I was done for the evening, so I went and sat in a tree stand that I hadn't seen much action from this season.
About 5:30 rolls around and so does lone doe #2. She was right up under my tree, never saw or heard her coming. It was a dang near perpendicular shot. Hard to tell from the picture, but I hit her right between the shoulder blades and punched through her heart. She took two steps and fell over.
All in all, great night!
Can't thank everyone enough for all the great advice I've received on this forum.
Now, with the freezer stocked, I'm looking forward to the rut and getting a BBD!
