On the way to North Carolina

Left Nacogdoches around 2 this afternoon headed to Washington, NC. Going to visit family and do some hunting. The farm my dad was raised on is still in the family and nobody in the family hunts. Haven't been there to hunt in two years so looking forward to getting there and see what happens. One year I didn't have much luck even seeing deer because my cousin, who farms it, left some corn standing to help the deer hunting for me but too many bears wanted the corn themselves. One morning I couldn't even get to the stand for the bears. Be there late tomorrow night or Sunday morning some time. Start hunting Monday and hope to have something to show by Monday evening. Wish me luck.

Good luck! Sounds like a good time. Is bear season open?

I spent 3 months in Franklin NC this summer. I missed Texas but can't figure out why, awesome state!

              Good luck.

I am not sure if bear season is open right now or not. Beaufort county, where I will be, always has some big bears killed every year. I very seldom go that I don't see some.

I lived on Lake Gaston at the Virginia line. LOTS of BIG deer and turkey up there. It's a great place to hunt!

Safe travels and good luck on the hunt. I live in Virginia but do my hunting down in NC where I grew up.

I lived next to Adam Fields on Gaston. Any kin?
