    Running Boards on truck

So, a trip to the ranch ended in my passenger running board being a casualty of fun - and a sneaky ditch. Any recommendations on aftermarket? The Ford house wants $300 for stock running boards. I'm okay putting something else on of you guys have a preference. Gracias.

Amp Research. They are $1100, but are automatic and tuck up to the cab when the doors are closed. Come down when you open your door. Nothing to hang up on anything. They look clean on a truck too.

I have a 2002 F250 short wheel base. Don't know if it will fit. Do you know how to find out?

Not big on the stock ones but mine have them as well. I like the tube type that have the rebar size steps just under each door.

I got real nice ones for around that price with free shipping online. Mounts bolted right onto the factory holes on my F250. Running board warehouse I think was where I ordered them.

Check with a local dealer or salvage yard for take offs. Plenty out there to be had, just make a few phone calls to check pricing and availability. Good luck!

I am on my first set of this type running boards, and I won't ever buy anything else. They're the best thing since thong bikinis !

I dropped off the edge of a culvert and slightly but noticeably bent my F-150 running board up in the middle. I couldn't open my driver's door.

I took it off, set it up with a 4x4 under it on each end. Put my 250 lbs to work and it straightened right out.

                          Amp steps for sure.

If you don't want to spend that much I like the n-fab steps too.

Don't forget about craigslist, they always have lots of them. That is if you don't mind slightly used.

Get rid of the mud catchers and go with nfab.
