    Hunting in the rain?

Anybody else sitting out in this mess?
I set last night through the showers and saw 9 does and a young buck. Also saw a few rabbits and lots of birds
Debating about trying again this evening.
Gets a little cold and wet in my tree stand but you can't get them on the couch.

Could have used one of those umbrellas for sure.

I'm not but if I wasn't working I would be. I like to be in the stand when the rain stops. Seems like they always start moving.

Best time to get a buck is right after the rain when they are refreshing their scrapes

I'd be there if I wasn't working. This is my favorite time to be in the woods!

I try and get in the stand when while it is raining a little before it shows to be letting up. Once the rain stops, activity goes way up!

Lol. You look like you're scared of the umbrella.

If I was home from work I would be. Best time to hunt is during light drizzle or in between heavy rainfalls.

I'd like to be as well, but it looks like in the south, the remnants of that category 5 hurricane is gonna move right across south texas. Either flood me out or blow me out of the stand.

                              A little rain never hurt.........

I actually enjoy hunting in the rain. I've never really known any rain except a downright deluge to put most animals off. I hunted Wednesday morning in that thick drizzle stuff that just penetrates you and everything on you but saw more bucks than I have all year. Stayed out till 10AM when they finally seem to just drift away for the day. The ride back in the Polaris was the worst since I had not installed the windshield before heading out. Yikes! A real soaking.
