5 different bucks today 1 was a perfect 4 on one side and cow horn spike on the other was coming right down my trail and veered off at 42 yards then I could not get him to keep coming nothing else has been slow enough to shoot.

Anyone have a final tally on deer taken as of the end of tonights hunt?

My buddy had a close encounter with one right at dark about 5-10 min left to shoot. He said it was 18-20" wide and tall big bodied. Came into to where he had put some doe pee out earlier. Put his nose in it them made a scrape.No shot bad angle deer took off walking he grunted deer turned facing him head on at 20yrds. Deer turned walked of grunted again stopped him but had got behind a cedar tree no shot and deer walked off.
He is pretty shakin up biggest deer he has ever seen in the wild.
Gave him some buck urine to put in that scrape tomorrow. Hope he can get another shot.

Side note. Went to the gas station in pottsboro still wearing camo and they asked what I was hunting. Told them deer. Lady said "there's only small deer in Texas"
