    Deodorant allergic reaction

Probably wondering how this is archery related. Last weekend I picked some un scented "natural" arm & hammer baking soda before heading to the ranch for a hunt. I had a dang allergic reaction & now have 2nd degree chemical burns in my arm pits! I'm a week post occurrence & i still have pain & discomfort!

I have pics to document, but I'll save you the gruesomeness!!!!

Anyone else ever had this happen???

Wow never had it bad enough for chemical burns. Old Spice deodorant gives me a wicked rash.

I had that happen last year when I was going back and forth between Old Spice deodorant and non-scented hunting types. It was incredibly painful and awkward as I could hardly raise my arms.

I'm now using Mitchum non-scented daily and haven't had any problems since.

That's the stuff I use when hunting. I'm glad I've never had that kind of reaction!

I can't use any antiperspirant at all. It does exactly what you described.

I have a mild reaction to scent free deodorants but it just gives me a little rash. I think it may be the Triclosan put in scent free products as I have a reaction to anything with that in it.

I have very sensitive skin and I have used that same deodorant every day for several years with no issue.

Tell your doc to prescribe Lyrica. Should take care of the pain.

Same here... as do many of the "clear" gel types. White bar, no problem.

You need to wait a couple of day's after you shave before using harsh chemicals.
