I bought a Moultrie 6 Volt panel (less than $20 at Amazon) and swapped out the connector for a 4mm. It has worked flawlessly with my 2014 and now 2015 (upgraded the 2014) loaded with Panasonic Eneloop AA batteries.

Thanks I'll call them tomorrow. Last year with a solar pack and 4 rechargeable quality batteries the cameras ran for 6 months till I took them down. Stupid me left the cords out on the boxes I made for the cameras and the birds ate on them. They also pecked the solar panels out of the packs

The hoops some of y'all jump through to save a buck.

For the money you are spending on all that redneck diy stuff and batteries, you can buy the dang Covert solar panel and a good set of AA recharges led and be done with it.

Mine has been out since January with this setup (12 Eneloop batteries and Covert panel) and I get 150'ish pics a day and it's never gone dead except the one time that a coon managed to unplug the solar panel.

Recharged the batteries and was back in business the next day.

I don't have a covert and I use my "redneck" power packs on all my cameras that cost less than solar power packs bought in stores and I can change out my batteries if need be...I pride myself in being able to make what I need

Be careful using the 12v battery. I fried a brand new camera last month when the covert cable did not reduce the 12v to 6v. Covert replaced the cam and cable, but I was at my lease 12 hours away so was not able to leave the cam when I needed it most. I will only use 6v from now on.

The last month I have been playing with the replacement cam and different battery setups.

                    Lithium's lasted 8 days and 1450 pics
6v with solar has been out about a week, not sure on pic count, but level has dropped to 8

I left my other covert in KS hooked to a 6v golf cart battery with a solar panel. It has been sending tons of pics for a month and still shows 9. Golf cart battery may be overkill, but it was $84 at sams and 6v SLA's were $10 and solar panels are $20, so If I did the two battery, two panel build I was going to do, I would be at $60, so I may go with the golf cart battery on this one also.

                        I tried it all...
I am now using a ammo box, 12v solar panel, 12 v battery, and Covert 12-6v converter and it stays at 9 on batteries!

The Covert panel and other rigs didnt work

How many pictures do you get a day?

Correction: I have received 73 since 12:00AM and expect another 10-15 around 10:30 pm
Hmmmm....I don't get half the picture you do, this may be the answer for me.

I got one of the bigger 6v batteries (12 amp) & put a solar panel on it. Left 4 energizer rechargeable in the camera & it stays on 9 all the time.
