A campfire makes for good thinking time. Its not the same as being at the lease, but at least you can think about what you want/need to do next time you go.

A good friend is the fire marshal and he let me know that a burn ban is indeed in effect. I put it out "immediately." Well, I sort of let it burn itself out.

Nothing like a good fire to sit and reflect or even just let your mind wander. I've had countless daydreams sitting around a fire in the evening. There is a peacefulness to it that cannot be replicated

Boerne Rut

Itching to be out of here. On walk this morning and saw my first buck chase a doe this fall. Got home and took a shower and looked out my front window. Very nice eight chasing a doe in my driveway. First I've seen of any rut or pre rut activity at all. Exciting. Have to teach tonight but outa here first thing in the morning headed to Mason.
