I've had a Stinger for several years. Keep it mounted in the console of the truck. About every 4 years, I buy another battery.

I have both the Sniper Hog light 50LR and the Elusive Wildlife XLR250 lights. Both are great gun mounted hunting lights and flashlights and battery life is very good. It is simple to change out LED color with either light. I do not like the way that the Sniper hog light's head moves around on the flashlight body (feels cheap and is annoying) so I would go with the Kill Light unless you need the flood to spot feature.

What light are you currently running. A lot of lights that run on CR123 will also run on rechargable 18650. I have a Fenix PD35 (actually three of them) and love it. Yes, I have to pull the batteries out of the light to charge it, but that also gives me the advantage of being able to just drop a new battery in if the light runs out before I finish the job.

If you do go with Streamlight, don't do the stinger, go with the Strion. The Stinger uses NiCd batteries which do not work will with top off charges. They are designed to be drained to almost dead before being recahrged. Li-Ion which is what the Strion uses are better about frequent recharges.
