I've had a Stinger for several years. Keep it mounted in the console of the truck. About every 4 years, I buy another battery.

I got one for fathers day when they first come out. Should of seen the look on everyones face at the lease when I shot that thing out into the pasture. They couldn't believe that much light was coming out of that little thing.

          You

Fenix like a PD35 or TK35 or TK35UE if you want to real quality.

Of course someone can stick with the "living of a brand name" Streamlight/Stinger with their overpriced proprietary parts.

If you like your current flashlight and just hate buying batteries get on Amazon and order rechargeable 123's and a charger.

If you are willing to admit you are a flashlight addict like the rest of us and just want a new flashlight then as others have said Streamlight and Fenix are top notch!

I use the JetBeam BC-40 it makes a Streamlight Stinger look dim.

                  I buy mine here.

I have both the Sniper Hog light 50LR and the Elusive Wildlife XLR250 lights. Both are great gun mounted hunting lights and flashlights and battery life is very good. It is simple to change out LED color with either light. I do not like the way that the Sniper hog light's head moves around on the flashlight body (feels cheap and is annoying) so I would go with the Kill Light unless you need the flood to spot feature.

Rigid HALO. 800 Lumens and about 5 inches long. Just as bright as a spot light, but fits in your pocket!

What light are you currently running. A lot of lights that run on CR123 will also run on rechargable 18650. I have a Fenix PD35 (actually three of them) and love it. Yes, I have to pull the batteries out of the light to charge it, but that also gives me the advantage of being able to just drop a new battery in if the light runs out before I finish the job.

If you do go with Streamlight, don't do the stinger, go with the Strion. The Stinger uses NiCd batteries which do not work will with top off charges. They are designed to be drained to almost dead before being recahrged. Li-Ion which is what the Strion uses are better about frequent recharges.

I have a Fenix TK-22, that came with a charger and two batteries. I use it nearly every day and that is for the last seven years. Same batteries.
