    Shoot-through mesh

Question: are the concealment benefits of sitting behind shoot-through mesh worth the perceived risk of having it affect arrow flight? I shoot fixed blades, but I have reservations about risking a poor shot/missing because of this.

I am with you on the risk reward aspect. I will not take a chance

Never had a shot deflected using coc or trocar type heads. Never would shoot mechs through it , but I only use them for turkeys.

I've shot thru mesh since the original Invisiblind came out. Never had a problem with it. The benefits of concealment far outweigh any concerns of shooting thru the mesh.
I shot the buck in my avatar week before last. Had him 10 yards in front of me for 40 minutes head on. He left, came back 20 minutes later. I shot him at 8 yards.

I haven't personally experienced any issues shooting thru the mesh with fixed blade broad heads. The only advice I would offer is to not stretch the mesh fiddle string tight. If the idea of shooting thru the mesh is an issue, one could set the blind up and do a little target shooting just to see if it is right for them or not. From a concealment perspective, the mesh works, in my opinion.

The mesh is a big advantage in concealment when you hunt on ground level. I have shot thru it for years and never had an arrow deflect. I don't shoot mechs thru it ever.

I killed my second biggest buck ever and my first wheelie bow buck in probably 20 years shooting thru mesh. He came in unexpectedly quickly and I didn't have time to get my window open. Shot was dead on and he didn't go far. I was shooting 600 gr. arras tipped with a big ol' snuffer and was shooting 4" feathers.

Tried the same thing a year or so later and (fortunately) clean missed a hog at 20 yards... arra flew WAY to the right. hole in mesh was perfect in the center of the screen... difference for me was I had switched from feathers to vanes. Never even thought about the stiff vanes contacting the mesh instead of collapsing like feathers... I later set up a target and did some practice shots... some flew OK, some didn't. Never tried it after that.

I know others who shoot vanes/fixed blades successfully, but it sure would make me sick if I put a bad shot on a big ol' buck from a poorly flying arra so I just don't try it. Some of my practice shots clean missed a block target at 20 yards.

I tried shooting through mesh with mech broad heads, after reading that others had done so without issues. I won't be trying that on a deer messed up the flight something terrible and I debunked the theory that mechs will not be effected...at least in my experience others may not have an issue with it. But I won't take that chance

It's not worth it to me, if concealment is the issue brush your blind in better or sit back towards a corner in the shadows. Never used the mesh and never had a problem with being hidden. But it takes me a few hours to brush up my blinds

I have been shooting slick tricks with blazer vanes thru mesh for years without any issues. It does not affect the shot for me at all.

I was leary of the mesh also until I watch my daughter which is only pulling 40 lbs shoot through it this past weekend she shot a hog at 22 yards using a 2 blade fixed broad head with no problem.

I have always pull the mesh out and never had any problem with deer seeing me.
I cant stand trying to see through it especially in low light

Same here. 5 deer down out of mine, not one arrow missed it's mark - including a 37-yard shot I made on a buck several years ago.
