Was out in the stand this morning and watched a doe trotting thru the brush behind me. Have never seen a deer some that way so about the heat of the day I circled around to try and figure out where she had crossed the creek from. Low and behold I find a massive single White oak tree thats dropping acorns like crazy. I've covered this property 100 times over and somehow missed this sucker. Its a nice big old tree. Noticed several trails leading to the tree. Going to try and sneak in there tomorrow and set a stand without spooking anything.

How did I miss this Oak tree?

Don't feel bad. I hadn't hunted one of my bow stands at all this season that sits in an oak patch. Last year they weren't producing.
Sunday, when I shot a buck, I heard him behind me working through the brush feeding.
Lo and behold, I looked up and every tree around me had acorns on it.
Face palm. Better late than never!
