                    HoustonHunter, you're not right but that was funny. Poor EastTx had that fleeting oh s#*! moment of burning all that vacation. Good luck brother, that is a heckuva deer. Keep us posted.

                      I saw a picture of a guy holding that deer on FB yesterday and said it was killed on the Rusk/Cherokee County line. Maybe it wasn't him but it sure looked like him. He killed it on a MLD 3 property with a rifle. And I'm NOT kidding.

                        Lots of Acorns Dropping around my place in East Texas right now , I have Noticed the Deer Hitting the White Oak Trees Pretty much all Day , Fine the Acorns around your Scrape Areas best of Luck to Ya ! Very Nice Buck !!

                                There was a 159" 8 point killed yesterday on MLD outside of Rusk. May be the one you saw. Hope so at least.
