Tree Stand Camo Pattern of Choice

Since I'm poor I just throw whatever mix match camo I can together according to the weather that day. And try to keep my scent to a minimal. On a side note. I would love to try asat by firstlite

You described yourself as poor, and want ASAT? take a set of cheap, khaki color clothes, and buy cans of black and darker-tan paint. Use poster-board to cut out stensils for the squigglys, and go to town.

My grandfather... both of them actually... would roll over in their graves if I spent that kind of money on camo...

Want and need are 2 different things sir. Nothing wrong with dreaming. And saying I'm poor was kinda a joke. I'm just young and don't have all my ducks in a row just yet. Working in this crashing oil patch doesn't help much either. Or should I say was working. Happy hunting everybody [emoji1]

You're absolutely right, bud. Whether or not camo is needed or worth anything was never really the question was it? Mea culpa, everyone.

You guys go on spending your money on camo, and I'll go on filling my freezer without it.
One of the biggest long beards that I've killed in 40+ years of turkey hunting, I called in to roughly 40 yards wearing nothing but flip flops and a pair of red and black shorts.. No shirt. Bracketville Texas.

Don't remember the Indians having camo

They did sit in a Mossy Oak. Used Real Trees, sat still and stalker through the Shadow Grass and took Advantage of their surrounds. Lol
I thought I was clever so I had to write I it down. I'm easily amused.

I would love to try some Predator Brown. One of my favorite patterns is Cabelas Outfitter or some same type. I think it works amazing well. Can't forget my favorite brown and tan plaid either!.

I have the full line up of Predator Fall grey in both the Adrenaline and Stealth Fleece Suits.

Do I need it? Probably not.
Should I spend that much money on camo? Probably not
Am I glad I have it? Darn right I am!

Camo is for the hunter to look good. Don't move and hunt the wind.
How is one to draw back it he doesn't move?!?!?!

Seriously, lighten up a little brotha life isn't that bad! Just curious what camo people are using...

I hear ya I probably don't need it but it seems like every year I'm replacing my pants and shorts because I buy the cheapo academy stuff and it fades out or shrinks or rips or something!

I bought Firtstlites Fusion pattern. Got a jacket, pants, and 2 long sleeves. Had a coyote come in 4 yards from me while in a brush blind and had no idea I was there. I know it's pricey but it works

I have mossy oak break up infinity cover all's, pants and shirts (both long and shot sleeve). I will probably go get some shorts today due to the heat. I wear a leafy suit over it all and a leafy mask. Basically if I'm bow hunting I'm wearing the leafy suit. Even put it over my harness with the safety tether being the only thing that sticks out of the suit. Never got picked off, but have been scented several times.

I'm going to go against the grain and say Mossy Oak Brush is as versatile a pattern as I have in the closet. I've got Sitka gear, and I have Kryptek, don't have Predator. I've hunted the mountains of Colorado, west Texas, and climbed up in a tree in east Texas, and it just seems like that brush pattern has just enough light colors to make you blend in to any light brown grasses or dead foliage in open country, and just enough darker colors to blend into a shaded tree stand. I like it even better once it starts to fade a little. It's so cheap too, compared to the designer camos out today.
