I did one about one time about which grain bullet is more accurate with same gun at 50 and 100 yards. Found lowest grain possible and went up to the highest I could find

Kaitlynn did a bullet performance test with her 7mm-08. Tested several different manufacturers for penetration, expansion, and weight retention. We just used old phone books and catalogs to shoot in to. Probably not as scientific as if we had used ballistic gel. But, they still served their purpose for what we wanted to accomplish.

My kids did theirs on flight distance vs length of arrow. Different lengths of arrows shot using our football practice field yard lines measuring distance of each.

How about the archer's paradox. Could study the spines of arrows and how it affects arrow flight.

Could use the slow mo feature on an iphone camera to capture some really great footage.

Something with arrow flight would be pretty cool.

If it can be about animals and science, take some game cams somewhere near where you live and get pix of coons, coyotes, foxes, possums, etc. my brother did that with his kids in north Dallas. He put them in a wooded area near a creek.

My grandson did a project on the different feeds and supplements I use for our deer. I was very proud of him. He did an excellent job. I really wasn't sure how he was going to put it together.
I just gave him a list of what and how much I fed. I explained why I was feeding each one and gave him some trail cam pictures. He did the rest.

                          corn vs pea gravel????

Kidding aside, how about testing accuracy and points of contact on a rifle. We know the outcome but it would be fun to test

I know some may not like it but a study of the outcome from the 13" rule.
