    Where to stay in Cotulla...

There has been a boom in hotel/motel building in Cotulla the last few years. Gonna be headed down their to hunt next weekend and figured it be easier/quicker to just get a room for the Saturday night.

With the oil boom slowing down, I figure there will be plenty of vacancies and most seem to be comparable.

Where have you stayed and liked? where to avoid?

    thanx,

I stay at the microtel all the time. Still a new ish hotel. Cost me 62 bucks for a queen double this past Tuesday night. I either stay there, baymont suites, comfort suites (have nice bar) or Hampton inn. Good wise. Eat at JJs country store. LaSalle county steakhouse is ok. Have gotten sick there several times tho.

Yep. I borrowed a trailer for the Javi hunt. I was stunned when we pulled into town and saw all the hotels. Hadn't hunted chaps in 20 years. There was one or two motels as I remember back then.

Malana Hotels & Suites Is very nice. Rated as the #2 hotel in Cotulla. It also has a restaurant.

yeah, Cotulla has changed due to the oilfield work. The road to Chap used to be a quiet road...not anymore.

                  thanx for the suggestions folks.

You can probably rent out a whole floor of one of the motels for $30 a night... just pick one with wide hallways to park your polaris.

Lol that's about right. Noticed a lot of empty parking lots.
