What kind of snake was this? I found it in my backyard, the picture doesn't show it very well but he was a vibrant orange color.

Eastern hognose.

Eastern Hognose. Although with bright colors like that it almost looks like a Southern Hognose

Thanks! I didn't kill it, my yard guy was here earlier. I'm guessing he or his mower took it out. I knew it wasn't venomous but wasn't sure exactly what it was.
