No El Niño has been doing its thing for over a year, but yes this is some El Niño effect and likely the 1st of many more of these systems to come.

The water engineer has been emptying Brantley lake for the past several weeks. Not sure why as NM has been way ahead as far as the compacts go. I looked at the flow on the river near Mentone a few days ago and the flow was pretty good.
