OT- scope sighting in question

Does anybody have any tips on sighting in a side mounted scope for a 30-30?

use a laser to bore sight it, then shoot it in like normal. the laser will help you out considerably!

Cheap man's way.....

.....big piece of cardboard with 6" solid crayon red circle.

Start of @ +/-20yds adjust and keep backing up till dead on 100yds. Leave alone and enjoy!!

I appreciate the help. I have checked all over the internet, and a laser boresighter kit is not exactly cheap. I just hate to throw down money for something I am only going to use once.

most gun shops will bore sight your rifle for you for free or for a nominal fee...you at least want to get on paper your first shot

I appreciate the help everybody. I found a kit online that is not too expensive, and I totally forgot about a gift card I had that totally covered the cost of the thing and shipping. I should have it in time to take it down with me next weekend to set it up.
