New Jeremiah Johnson movie?

The Revenent is a Leanardo DiCaprio movie coming out in December. The story line of it seems to follow a lot of life details about the real John (liver eating) Johnson. It is not referenced in the story line or anywhere but if you ever read about the real Johnson there are a lot of similarities.

I believe Grizz 83 is exactly right. If I recall correctly, there was already a movie made years ago about Hugh Glass called Man in the Wilderness starring Richard Harris and John Huston.

Man in Wilderness "loosely based" on the story of Hugh Glass, yes. This one looks pretty spectacular--great director (Birdman winner), great actors (Leo fan, but his politics...different discussion)--cold weather, hunting, wild boar, American Indians, grizzly bear--what's not to like?
