Just a thank you to BowWiz

I don't think David frequents here much anymore, but maybe.

He fixed my ATV and I'm right glad for it, too. I took it a few months ago to a guy in south College Station who replaced the shocks/ struts, brakes, hoses, changed the oil, filters, etc. He was supposed to go over it all to make sure the bushings were ok and everything was in good order. The ATV is 11 years old and I've only kept up with oil and filter changes.

I got it home and instantly knew something wasn't right. The steering was very loose and there was this popping. I knew it was serious, but I couldn't get the guy to return my calls or texts.

When David said he was doing some shade tree mechanic work on the side and I knew he had completely rebuilt 2 ATV's from the ground up, I asked him if he could take a look at it.

Sure enough, the steering column bushings were worn out and so was the front wheel bearings. One of the new shocks is bad, but not so bad I can't use it.

David made me a sweet deal and now I feel safe driving it across hog wallow laden pastures chasing bulls or just letting the ponies and dogs run.

BowWiz took real good care of me. He's a little weird, but I like him like that.

Oh, I took your advice and sprayed silicon lubricant on the bushings. Squeaks are gone. Most of the squeak was the bushings my son and I replaced last year and the steering column where it connects to the control arms. (I think that's what they are called....)
