Who would I call to get an estimate for getting this done? There is a house across the FM from us, would just need a pole planted, lines run, and a meter. Any ideas?

Wise County Electric Coop. Tell them you're requesting a new service. They'll walk you through it. You'll need an electrician to take care of the private side.

If it's not their line they'll tell you whose it is.

It's all dependent on what's available there. If they have to "T" off of their main transmission and come to you it is charged per pole & per foot. If they are just tapping a line like in the OP's situation, they may not even charge him.

Called them today - very helpful and friendly. There are all the regular fees and deposits you'd expect. On top of that there is a $6.50/ft charge for new power. That includes poles. Thanks for the direction guys.
