    Broadheads vs Field tips

Do most popular broadheads fly true to standard field tips?

The range I go to doesnt allow the use of anything other than standard field tips. I want to purchase some new broadheads this week, but am a little skeptical of how they will shoot compared to the standard field tips

Most any broadhead will fly with your fp's out of a well tuned bow. But, odds are that you haven't been able to tune correctly since you cannot use broadheads at the range. I would not advise ever shooting a broadhead you have not tuned for at an animal, it just leaves a huge question mark as to whether or not you will kill the animal quick and clean. I would suggest getting a broadhead target and bringing that to camp and tuning up real quick before hunting.

That being said, I have had good luck with swhackers and slick tricks flying very close to my field points. In fact, I am going to be backing out to 60+ yards this week to really fine-tune my setup with my slick trick vipers.

They will if your bow is tuned but there is no way to know that if you haven't shot them

For what it's worth, I shoot some field tips and some rage practice heads when I shoot - pretty consistent occurrence is that my rage practice heads are more accurate than my field tips. I am not saying they are more accurate and human error comes into play a ton with archery but they are proving to fly true for me.

If your bow is tuned well, most any broadhead of the proper weight SHOULD fly well from your bow!
