Grayson it all depends on where they are hit. If it was a gut shot I probably would not have tracked until the evening and once it started cooling off. Needed to get on it quick since once that sun comes up its harder for the dogs to scent and also you don't want them to overheat.... Just depends on situation and the tracker needs to do his best to put his dog in a situation to succeed.
