    Who else?

Builds their own feeder timers? I had to build one today because my last big box store one went poopoo on me. I use ammo cans and 12v motors with either Foreverlast timers or The Timer. Also use gate opener solar panels. Click image for larger version

Where do you get those batteries and what kind are they?

I work for ATT. These are backup batteries for fiber optic cables. I conned one off them.

How much $ have you got in it? I need to buy one, but would love to build one if feasible.

This is stuff I have laying around. Ammo can from an ex-army buddy. Cannot remember where the motor came from but I probably bought it a few years ago. The Timer is $55 I think. And eliminator spin plate salvaged off poopoo feeder. Couple bucks for self tapping screws and a Couple 1/4" bolts for solar panel.

You can probably build this for around $100. Foreverlast timers are cheaper.

Cool, thanks. I have a few old sets laying around I could probably salvage everything but battery.

That is how I normally do it. Those sealed motors rarely go bad. Its the timers and batteries that usually need replacing. All my setuos now have this ammo can with panel attached. No more coons yanking out The solar panel wires.
